ExerFit Instructions

Step 1) Install ExerFit app on your iPhone.

Open the Apple play store and install the ExerFit app. Its free!

Step 2) Sync Button(s) and Speed Puck
This is needed only once when first installing the game:

  1. Open the ExerFit game app on your phone.
  2. Tap the "+ Setup" screen button.
  3. Press left and right buttons, "Left" and "Right" on-screen squares should light up. 
  4. If there is no feedback on the page, follow these steps for left and right:
    1. Select one of the hand buttons (black or white) as the left button.
    2. Press "Sync L. Button" on the phone screen.
    3. Press the selected button 3 times to sync it.
    4. (follow steps 1-3 for the right button).
  5. Once buttons are showing activity, go to step 3 to check the speed puck.

Step 3) Sync the Speed Puck
This is needed only once when first installing the game:

  1. First, be sure the speed sensor is powered on. Hold its button down for about 3 seconds until its red light quickly flashes. 
  2. Do some motion with the speed puck. If it is synchronized, then the middle graph on the Setup page will show activity.
  3. If motion is not detected, tap "sync speed" and press the button on the speed sensor 3 times to pair it. This is only needed once.
  4. Once the buttons and speed puck are showing activity, exit the Hardware check page.

Step 4) Play the Game!

  1. Clip the speed sensor onto your shoe or other normal moving body part during exercise.
  2. Select one of the 5 racing environments by tapping one of the middle buttons that shows a player on fitness equipment. The game will start immediately, so begin to exercise at your normal pace to calibrated average road speed for you and your equipment. 
  3. The player will move on the road faster or slower as you exercise and move.
  4. Use the left and right buttons to change the game player's turn angle. The player will stays at the same turn angle until you steer your player back in the other direction with the other hand button.
  5. Press both buttons to hit other competitors on the track. This also will reset turn angle to straight.

Bonus Step) Set your Challenge Speed, Game Timer, and Weekly Goal

  1. In the upper left corner, you can set the automatic timer for the game. You can increase the time from 5 minutes to 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, or even unlimited.
  2. On the upper right corner of the screen, the game challenge speed can be adjusted to make the player faster on the track to increase the challenge and unlock other game features. Level B will allow points to go negative if the player crashes too much. Level C and above will crash player if they go into the grass and introduces an aggressive racing competitor.
  3. The ExerFit game will keep track of your weekly exercise activity and allow you to set your own goal for number of minutes per week to exercise. The total progress will show on the main game page and on the history page with color coded to give you quick feedback if you are on track.


Cool Down) As you stretch, power down the speed puck.

  1. After exercise, remember to have a good stretch.
  2. Next, pack the hand buttons into the handy zipper storage pouch and power down the speed puck by pressing its button for 3 seconds until the red light lights long once.
  3. The speed puck can be powered on the next time by pressing the same button for 3 seconds until the red lights blink quickly.
  4. The hand buttons will automatically go into power save mode when they are stored. The 5-button (optional) controller can be recharged using its own USB-C cable.
